For the record - Scripture teaches that "Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God". Jesus quoted that in Matthew. Moses recorded it 1500 years earlier! I know that. But that does not mean we cannot live using science, mathmatics, physics or other earthly wisdom. When the Jerusalem was taken over around 605BC, King Nebuchadnezzar told his staff to bring him one of the Israelites who was were (1) skilful in wisdom (2) knowledgeable (3) understood science (4) competant to stand in the kings palace (5) able to serve (6) capable of teaching (7) strong, healthy, good looking. I loved that story because I truly believe in all my heart God's people should be the brightest lights in this world. I believe they should be the best fighters and defenders of the weak, poor and afflicted. I believe they should be the salt and flavor of this earth, not freaks who bring shame to the name of Christ. I thrive in the business world, in the 21st century, because I have the Bible in my left hand and the news in my right. I am a Pastor and Shepherd over the House of God. I know scripture. Trust me, I would not be who I am today if it wasn't for the Holy Scriptures. However, in this section, I will be quoting no words from the Bible. Instead, I will quote for you some of my favorite quotes that helped me grow in favor with not just God, but man. I didn't just memorize every one of these, but I live by them.
Here they are...

Alfred D Souza

St Francis of Assisi
Amy Carmichael, Missionary to China
[Because I cannot trace every one of these to a specific author, I will not be quoting these with their author. My only intention is to share these quotes that helped shape my life.]
